Dachepalli Publishers Registers 159% YoY Revenue Surge to ₹45.17 Crore in Q1 FY27 Driven by K-12 Academic Demand

K-12 educational publishing and integrated academic solutions company Dachepalli Publishers Limited (BSE: 544667) has reported an extraordinary start to the new fiscal year. In its Q1 FY27 business update, the company revealed a massive 159% year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth, with total revenue reaching ₹45.17 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.

This financial acceleration reflects strong seasonal demand for curriculum-aligned educational content, enhanced operational efficiencies, and the growing adoption of the company's technology-driven integrated academic solutions platform across India.

Revenue Diversification and Scale of Operations

Dachepalli's business model is split between traditional educational publishing and modern digital marketplace services, which are driving scale effectively across its ecosystem:

The Revenue Mix: Core Publishing remains the bedrock of the company, generating 70% of total revenue. Meanwhile, its fast-growing Platform & Services division now accounts for 30% of the revenue mix.

Volume and Institutional Reach: During the quarter, the company sold approximately 6.94 million book units. Its extensive distribution footprint now includes over 400 partners, serving more than 13,000 schools and educational institutions across more than 13 states.

Robust In-House Infrastructure and Capacity Utilization

To meet peak academic cycles seamlessly, the company relies on a combination of captive manufacturing facilities and agile outsourced production:

Printing Hub: The company operates a large 75,000 sq. ft. printing facility located at Cherlapally in Hyderabad. The plant has a printing capacity of 15 Tons Per Day (TPD) and is currently operating at an impressive 85% capacity utilization rate.

Peak Demand Management: To fulfill sudden, heavy volume surges without supply chain friction, Dachepalli outsources approximately 15% of its production during peak demand phases.

Logistics Backing: Supply operations are streamlined by a 30,000 sq. ft. company-owned warehouse, which manages a vast portfolio containing more than 650 curriculum-aligned titles.

Technology-Driven Supply Chain and Pelican Platform

Beyond core textbook printing, Dachepalli has successfully integrated a digital-first supply chain framework to simplify procurement for schools and parents alike.

A key driver of this strategy is the expansion of its Pelican E-Commerce Platform. This centralized digital marketplace allows partner institutions to seamlessly procure all school essentials-ranging from textbooks and notebooks to uniforms and stationery-under one portal, significantly improving order management and tracking.

Simultaneously, the company has expanded its Direct-to-Parent (D2C) channels. These dedicated online ordering pathways provide parents with a convenient option to purchase school-specific academic products directly from their homes, enhancing the overall customer experience. Moving forward, the company remains focused on widening its basket of value-added products, including specialized stationery, skill development materials, and competitive examination guides.
