ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited, one of India's leading private general insurers, has announced its audited financial results for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2026. The company demonstrated consistent growth in premiums and profitability, supported by a healthy solvency position.

Annual Financial Performance (FY26)

The company reported robust year-on-year growth across key financial metrics for the full fiscal year:

Gross Direct Premium Income (GDPI): Grew to ₹30,618 crore, an 8.4% increase compared to ₹28,258 crore in FY25.

Profit After Tax (PAT): Increased to ₹2,772 crore, up 10.5% from ₹2,508 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Net Premium Earned: Rose to ₹22,264 crore, compared to ₹19,800 crore in FY25.

Investment Income: Total income from investments (Policyholders' + Shareholders') remained a significant contributor to the bottom line, with shareholders' investment income alone reaching ₹1,184 crore.

Q4FY26 Quarterly Highlights

The fourth quarter maintained the positive trajectory:

Gross Premium Written: Stood at ₹8,074 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026.

Profit After Tax (PAT): Reported at ₹547 crore for the quarter.

Earnings Per Share (EPS): The Basic EPS for the full year stood at ₹55.74, compared to ₹50.74 in FY25.

Key Analytical Ratios and Asset Quality

The company's operational efficiency and financial stability are reflected in its key ratios:

Solvency Ratio: Stood at 2.67x as of March 31, 2026, well above the regulatory requirement of 1.50x, indicating a strong capital position.

Combined Ratio: Reported at 103.4% for the full year.

Incurred Claim Ratio: Remained stable at 71.1% for FY26.

Return on Equity (ROE): Stood at 17.0% for the full year.

Dividends

The Board has maintained its commitment to rewarding shareholders. Including the interim dividend of ₹6.50 paid earlier, the total dividend profile remains robust, reflecting the company's healthy cash flow and surplus generation.

Total Assets and Investments

ICICI Lombard's total investment assets grew significantly, with the Policyholders' Fund reaching ₹43,493 crore and the Shareholders' Fund at ₹14,929 crore. The yield on investments (without unrealized gains) for the year was strong at 8.47%.
