Sinclairs Hotels Limited has decided to discontinue its operations at Sinclairs Udaipur by cancelling the lease for the said property, with effect from 30th June 2026.
This decision was taken after careful evaluation of the unit's financial performance. The property was incurring continuous losses, which adversely impacted the overall profitability of the Company.
In light of the evolving business environment, the Company is focussing on West Bengal, where the Sinclairs brand enjoys strong recognition and goodwill. The Company is formulating plans for expansion of its existing properties in the State, as well as identifying new destinations for development of greenfield projects. With several major infrastructure projects underway in West Bengal, connectivity across the region is expected to improve significantly, providing a boost to tourism in the region.
Furthermore, the Government's continued emphasis on the development of North Bengal and Sikkim is expected to positively impact the Company's properties at Siliguri, Chalsa (Dooars), Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Gangtok.
