Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), today announced that its overall sales including exports in the Trucks and Buses business (CV > 3.5T) for the month of December 2025 stood at 2260 vehicles, a y-o-y growth of 43%.
Mahindra's Trucks & Buses business comprises of Mahindra Trucks & Buses division (MTBD) and SML Mahindra Limited (SML).
Consolidated Trucks & Buses (MTBD + SML) - December 2025
Cargo Vehicles: 1,346 units (+40% YoY from 962); YTD: 10,769 units (+20% YoY from 9,001).
Passenger Vehicles: 914 units (+48% YoY from 618); YTD: 10,345 units (+7% YoY from 9,666).
Total: 2,260 units (+43% YoY); YTD: 21,114 units (+13% YoY).
Mahindra Trucks & Buses (MTBD) - December 2025
MTBD contributed 1,216 units in December, up 27% from 954 units.
Cargo Vehicles: 884 units (+26% YoY from 700); YTD: 6,949 units (+12% YoY from 6,231).
Passenger Vehicles: 332 units (+31% YoY from 254); YTD: 2,830 units (-0.5% YoY from 2,843).
Total MTBD: 1,216 units (+27% YoY); YTD: 9,779 units (+8% YoY).
SML Mahindra Limited (SML) - December 2025
SML led with explosive growth, posting 1,044 units-a 67% jump from 626 units.
Cargo Vehicles: 462 units (+76% YoY from 262); YTD: 3,820 units (+38% YoY from 2,770).
Passenger Vehicles: 582 units (+60% YoY from 364); YTD: 7,515 units (+10% YoY from 6,823).
Total SML: 1,044 units (+67% YoY); YTD: 11,335 units (+18% YoY).
This strong showing reflects rising logistics demand, fleet modernization, and SML's standout performance in both cargo and passenger segments. M&M's integrated portfolio positions it well for sustained expansion in India's commercial vehicle market.
According to Vinod Sahay, Executive Chairman - SML, President - Aerospace, Defence, Trucks, Buses & CE, M&M, "The CV industry continued its momentum in December across all segments supported by favourable policy changes and supportive demand drivers. With the industry showing early signs of an upcycle, we expect further acceleration in Q4".
