City Union Bank (CUB), a prominent private sector lender based in Tamil Nadu, continues its aggressive footprint expansion across India. In an official filing today, the bank announced the inauguration of six new branches, effectively pushing its total branch count to 956.
The newly opened branches are spread across a wide geographical range, strengthening the bank's presence in key southern and western markets. In Kerala, the bank launched operations in Perinthalmanna (Malappuram District) and Adoor (Pathanamthitta District). The expansion also focused heavily on the bustling Telangana region, with two new branches opening in Hanamkonda (Waddepally) and Badangpet in the Rangareddy District.
Moving toward the central and western corridors, the bank established a new presence in the Sukhliya area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and another in Madhapar, located in the Kachchh District of Gujarat.
This rollout highlights the bank's ongoing commitment to a hybrid growth strategy, balancing robust digital services with a widespread physical network to better serve its growing retail and MSME customer base. With this latest expansion, City Union Bank is rapidly approaching the significant operational milestone of 1,000 branches.
