Well Pharmacy operates more than 650 pharmacies across the UK and supports the health of local communities through consultations and essential services. In line with its digital transformation strategy, Well Pharmacy has selected Datamatics' Intelligent Automation platform to deliver safe, consistent, and efficient medicines administration for its care homes.
Datamatics will automate the Medication Administration Record (MAR) process by integrating its intelligent automation products, TruBot and TruCap+. Leveraging AI and GenAI capabilities, TruBot will automate the mundane and repetitive tasks and support end-to-end automation of MAR process and TruCap+ will play a pivotal role in accurately extracting and digitizing key patient dosage information from unstructured MAR documents, ensuring speed, precision, and compliance. This automation enables the creation of reliable Monitored Dosage System (MDS) records, minimizing manual effort, reducing errors, and enhancing patient safety, while empowering healthcare providers with real-time, actionable data.
This solution will ensure greater accuracy in patient records, improve efficiency by automating updates, and reduce costs through lower manual effort and less wastage. It will also provide scalability to manage varied prescription formats at high volumes while boosting staff productivity by allowing pharmacists and care teams to spend more time on patient care.
Andrew Caplan, Chief Retail Officer from Well Pharmacy said, "Accuracy is critical in the medical industry, and our long-term agreement with Datamatics provides a flexible, easy-to-use solution that ensures precision while simplifying a complex process. By digitizing medication records with speed and reliability, we can reduce manual errors, enhance patient safety, and give our teams more time to focus on delivering quality care. As we plan to scale to support over 70,000 patients in care homes, Datamatics' automation platform will play a vital role in helping us meet growing healthcare needs with consistency and confidence."
Mitul Mehta, Chief Marketing Officer at Datamatics, said, "We are excited to partner with Well Pharmacy in their automation journey. With our experience in the Healthcare industry, we are confident to deliver the desired benefits of automation including accuracy, efficiency and process compliance."
