Fire Incident at Vishal Mega Mart Ltd's retail store in Karol Bagh

Vishal Mega Mart Limited has announced about a fire incident that took place in one of the retail stores of Airplaza Retail Holdings Private Limited ('Subsidiary Company') located at shop no. 10209, 10210, Padam Singh Road, Near Pizza Hut, Block 14, Karol Bagh, New Delhi-110005 on Friday, July 04, 2025 in the evening. Our store staff ensured that patrons were ushered to safety without any delay.

The Fire Department responded to the call and the fire was brought under control on July 5. We have now been informed that two people lost their lives in the incident. We regret and mourn the loss of lives at the store premises. Post the incident, the Delhi Police has lodged an FIR and an investigation is underway. We are fully cooperating with the authorities in this investigation.

We would like to further state that the assets at the affected store are adequately insured, and we are working to initiate appropriate insurance claims. We are currently in the process of assessing the full extent of the loss/damage caused and its potential impact.

Shares of Vishal Mega Mart Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 129.30 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 129.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 682756 in over 2830 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 131.80 and intraday low of 128.75. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 88723247.00.
