Tulip IT Services Ltd on May 22, 2007 has announced the addition of a new set of offerings to its existing services portfolio. These offerings include Managed Data Centre Services, Managed Customer Premise Equipment services and Managed Video Services for Enterprises.
As per industry sources, the Internet Data Center market in India is expected to grow to around $200 million by 2009. The Managed Data Center offering is based on the new Data Centre that conforms to the international standards and Tier 3 norms of creating a data centre. It promises a high degree of reliability, efficiency and security in managing the customer operations and is supported by a 24x7 Network Operation Center (NOC). Having completed its first data Center in Delhi, the Company is in the process of setting up similar facilities in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai& Hyderabad.
The level 3 Data Center provides a highly secure environment where enterprises can host their critical data. Full flexibility to choose services like dedicated servers, managed services, co-location and shared services form a part of the standard offerings.
The Company has also taken its NOC offering to the next level by offering Managed Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) services which include Configuration Management, Security Management, Fault Management, Performance Management as well as related reporting services.
The Company also announced the launch of its Managed Video Services to further enhance the value proposition of its MPLS VPN services to corporates within their Closed User Group. The service allows customers to communicate between their offices using video in multiple locations. This is an extremely cost effective solution for corporates as it significantly reduces travel and immensely boosts productivity. As per a Frost and Sullivan study, the Video Conferencing market size is around $25 million and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 21%. This, however, does not include the bandwidth component.
