KSPCB directs Binani Industries to close zinc plant in Kerala due to water pollution

Binani Industries Ltd has announced that the Environmental Engineer of Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has directed that all the processes and operations of the factory of Binani Zinc Ltd , a subsidiary of the Company, be closed with immediate effect due to alleged water pollution. An appeal is being preferred against the order of the Environmental Engineer to the Chairman, KSPCB and also to the Health Minister of Kerala.

The Zinc Plant of Binani Zinc Ltd has been kept operational under zero discharge mode.
