Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (CIFCL), the financial services arm of the Murugappa Group, announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) posted a consolidated net profit after tax of ₹1,656.22 crore for Q1 FY27, delivering a strong 45.56% year-on-year growth compared to ₹1,137.83 crore recorded in Q1 FY26.

Total Revenue from Operations: Stood at ₹8,856.29 crore for Q1 FY27, up 21.87% compared to ₹7,266.80 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹8,416.71 crore in the preceding quarter ended March 31, 2026 (Q4 FY26).

Interest Income: Formed the core revenue block at ₹8,048.11 crore, expanding from ₹6,655.99 crore in Q1 FY26.

Fee & Commission Income: Reached ₹594.35 crore, up 36.88% from ₹434.20 crore in Q1 FY26.

Other Income: Stood at ₹100.39 crore, compared to ₹85.29 crore in Q1 FY26.

Total Consolidated Income: Came in at ₹8,956.68 crore for the quarter under review, up 21.81% YoY from ₹7,353.09 crore in Q1 FY26.

Profitability & Tax Metrics

Profit Before Tax (PBT): Reached ₹2,223.56 crore for Q1 FY27 (including a ₹1.49 crore share of profit from associate/joint venture), up 45.14% YoY from ₹1,532.00 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹2,143.12 crore in Q4 FY26.

Tax Expense: Totaled ₹567.34 crore, comprising ₹552.53 crore in current tax and a deferred tax credit of ₹(85.19) crore.

Net Profit After Tax (PAT): Reported at ₹1,656.22 crore for the quarter, all attributable to the owners of the parent.

Total Comprehensive Income: Net of other comprehensive loss adjustments of ₹(25.28) crore, total comprehensive income stood at ₹1,630.94 crore, compared to ₹1,058.03 crore in Q1 FY26.

Consolidated EPS: Basic EPS for Q1 FY27 increased to ₹19.42 per equity share of face value ₹2 each (unannualised), compared to ₹13.53 in Q1 FY26 and ₹19.33 in Q4 FY26. Diluted EPS stood at ₹19.37.

2. Loan Against Property (LAP)

Segment Revenue: ₹1,714.48 crore (vs ₹1,436.24 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹1,611.83 crore in Q4 FY26)

Segment Profit Before Tax: ₹677.98 crore (vs ₹540.36 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹599.85 crore in Q4 FY26)

Segment Revenue: ₹1,435.65 crore from Others and ₹299.69 crore from Unallocated operations.

Segment Profit Before Tax: ₹255.90 crore from Others and ₹76.03 crore from Unallocated.

Total Consolidated Segment Assets crossed the ₹2.56-lakh-crore mark, reaching ₹2,56,103.01 crore as of June 30, 2026, compared to ₹2,45,448.23 crore as of March 31, 2026. Total Capital Employed expanded to ₹32,135.41 crore.

- Aggregate disbursements in Q1 FY 27 were at ₹ 29,612 Cr with the AUM of ₹2,54,392 Cr as of 30th June 2026 as compared to ₹ 2,07,663 Cr as of 30th June 2025, registering a growth of 23% on Y-o-Y.

- Vehicle Finance (VF) disbursements were at ₹ 16,503 Cr in Q1 FY 27 with the AUM of ₹ 1,24,132 Cr as of 30th June 2026 as compared to ₹ 1,04,720 Cr in the previous year, registering a growth of 19% Y-o-Y.

- Loan Against Property (LAP) business disbursed ₹ 4,780 Cr in Q1 FY 27 with the AUM of ₹ 54,130 Cr as of 30th June 2026 as compared to ₹ 43,943 Cr in the previous year, registering a growth of 23% Y-o-Y.

- Home Loan (HL) business disbursed ₹ 1,797 Cr in Q1 FY 27 with the AUM of ₹ 23,644 Cr as of 30th June 2026 as compared to ₹ 19,399 Cr in the previous year, registering a growth of 22% Y-o-Y.

- Small and Medium Enterprises Loan (SME) business disbursed ₹ 1,992 Cr in Q1 FY 27 with the AUM of ₹ 9,923 Cr as of 30th June 2026 as compared to ₹ 7,119 Cr in the previous year, registering a growth of 39% Y-o-Y.

- Consumer and Small Enterprise Loans (CSEL) disbursed ₹ 3,408 Cr in Q1 FY 27 with the AUM of ₹ 15,884 Cr as of 30th June 2026 as compared to ₹ 14,199 Cr in the previous year, registering a growth of 12% Y-o-Y.

- Secured Business and Personal Loan (SBPL) disbursed ₹ 379 Cr in Q1 FY 27 with the AUM of ₹ 3,730 Cr as of 30th June 2026 as compared to ₹ 2,671 Cr in the previous year, registering a growth of 40% Y-o-Y.

- Gold Loans (GL) business disbursed ₹ 754 crore during Q1 FY27 with the AUM of ₹ 2,143 Cr as of 30th June 2026 and continued to scale steadily. We are currently operating through 171 dedicated branches.

- PBT for Q1 FY 27 was at ₹ 2,220 Cr, registering a growth of 45% over Q1 of FY 26

- PBT-ROA for Q1 FY 27 was at 3.7%.

- ROE for Q1 FY 27 was at 21.2%.

- The Company continues to hold a strong liquidity position with ₹ 22,765 Cr as cash balance as at end of Jun'2026 (including HQLA of ₹ 7,614.93 Cr invested in GSEC, SDL, T-bill & invested in Strips shown under investments held in compliance with LCR requirements), with a total liquidity position of ₹ 23,984 Cr (including undrawn sanctioned lines). The ALM is comfortable with no negative cumulative mismatches across all time buckets

- Consolidated Profit Before Tax (PBT) for Q1 FY 27 was at ₹ 2,222 Cr as against ₹ 1,531 Cr in Q1 FY 26 registering a growth of 45%.
