Pharmaceutical major Indoco Remedies Limited has published its unaudited consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, marking a return to profitability supported by strong domestic revenue expansion and a significant exceptional gain.
The financial results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and subsequently approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on July 28, 2026. The statutory auditors issued an unmodified review opinion on the consolidated statement.
Financial Performance Overview
Indoco Remedies recorded a total income from operations of ₹467.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, registering growth compared to ₹439.67 crore achieved in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year (Q1 FY26). Revenue from core operations contributed ₹466.22 crore, while other operating income stood at ₹1.28 crore. Non-operating other income reached ₹2.18 crore, bringing total income to ₹469.68 crore.
Total expenditure for the June 2026 quarter reached ₹4,89.30 crore, compared to ₹477.96 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹504.31 crore in the preceding quarter (Q4 FY26). Major cost components included:

Purchases of Stock-in-Trade: ₹39.89 crore
Employee Benefits Expense: ₹101.41 crore
Research & Development Expense: ₹18.54 crore
Finance Costs: ₹28.29 crore

Other Expenses: ₹148.48 crore
Exceptional Gain Drives Turnaround to Net Profit
Prior to accounting for exceptional items, the company faced an operating loss before tax of ₹19.62 crore. However, the quarter's financial performance was boosted by a major exceptional gain of ₹97.34 crore.
Consequentially, Indoco Remedies posted a profit before tax (PBT) of ₹77.72 crore, a strong recovery from the pre-tax loss of ₹36.66 crore reported in Q1 FY26 and the pre-tax loss of ₹25.00 crore in Q4 FY26.
After deducting total tax expenses of ₹12.28 crore (comprising ₹10.59 crore in current tax and ₹1.69 crore in deferred tax), the company logged a net profit for the period of ₹65.44 crore. Profit attributable to equity shareholders stood at ₹64.99 crore, while non-controlling interest accounted for ₹0.45 crore. Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter rose to ₹7.09 per share of face value ₹2 each.
Total comprehensive income for the quarter stood at ₹66.12 crore after incorporating other comprehensive income items of ₹0.68 crore.
Geographical Revenue Breakup
Indoco Remedies operates exclusively within a single primary business segment: Pharmaceuticals. The geographical breakdown of net sales and operating income reveals solid traction in the Indian market:
India (Domestic Sales): ₹311.77 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹277.83 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹247.10 crore in Q4 FY26.
Outside India (International Sales): ₹154.45 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹153.03 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹208.76 crore in Q4 FY26.
Total Operations Revenue: ₹466.22 crore.
During the first quarter of FY 2026-27, revenues of Indoco Remedies are at ₹ 4,081 mn, as against ₹3856 mn, same quarter last year. EBIDTA to net sales for the quarter is 10.3 % at ₹ 422 mn, compared to 3.8 % at ₹ 148 mn, same quarter last year.
