Maruti Suzuki announces sales of 217854 units in December 2025

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL), India's largest passenger vehicle maker, posted robust December 2025 sales of 217,854 units, up 22.2% year-over-year (YoY) from 178,248 units in December 2024. Domestic sales, including passenger vehicles (PV), light commercial vehicles (LCV), and sales to other OEMs, reached 192,115 units - a 36.4% YoY jump from 140,829 units. For April-December FY25-26, total sales hit 1,746,504 units, up 7.1% from 1,629,631 units in the prior year.

Key Segment Breakdown - December 2025

- Passenger Vehicles (PV) Domestic Sales: 178,646 units (+37.4% YoY from 130,117)
- Mini Segment (Alto, S-Presso): 14,225 units (+91.7% YoY from 7,418).
- Compact Segment (Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR): 78,704 units (+43.4% YoY from 54,906).

- Mid-Size (Ciaz): Negligible volumes.

- Utility Vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victus, XL6): 73,818 units (+32.7% YoY from 55,651).

- Vans (Eeco): 11,899 units (+1.9% YoY from 11,678).

- Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV): Super Carry sales at 3,519 units (+46.3% YoY from 2,406).

- Sales to Other OEMs: 9,950 units (+19.8% YoY from 8,306).

- Exports: 25,739 units (-31.2% YoY from 37,419), though YTD exports grew to 310,559 units (+25.5% YoY).

Year-to-Date (April-December FY25-26) Highlights

Total Domestic PV: 1,321,381 units (+3.6% YoY).

Compact cars led with 597,189 units (+8.9% YoY).

Utility vehicles at 541,266 units (+2.3% YoY).

Total PV+LCV: 1,349,846 units (+3.8% YoY).

Including OEM sales: 1,435,945 units (+3.9% YoY).

Maruti Suzuki's December strength came from blockbuster compact models like Swift and WagonR, alongside SUVs such as Brezza and Grand Vitara, reflecting sustained urban and rural demand. Despite softer exports, the company's diversified portfolio and market share gains position it strongly for FY26 amid festive season tailwinds and upcoming launches.

With this, we closed CY 2025 with highest-ever total sales of 2,351,139 units, which also includes highest-ever exports of 395,648 units.

Shares of Maruti Suzuki India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 16715.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 16704.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 8837 in over 2138 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 16797.40 and intraday low of 16612.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 147757044.00.
