Alchemist Board approves 50% interim dividend & recommends 1:1 Bonus issue

Alchemist Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on October 16, 2006, inter alia, has transacted the following:

1. Recommended to the shareholders for issue of Bonus Shares by capitalization of reserves in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. one Bonus share for one equity shares held. The recommendation will be placed before the General Meeting for shareholders approval.

2. Approved the interim dividend @ 50% Rs.0.50 per share for the year 2005-2006.
