Automotive manufacturer Eicher Motors Limited has released the commercial vehicle sales performance figures for its unlisted subsidiary, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), covering June 2026 and the cumulative first quarter of the financial year 2026-27.
Comprehensive VECV Growth in June 2026
VECV registered total global sales (comprising Eicher trucks and buses alongside Volvo products) of 9,519 units in June 2026, delivering a strong 29.3% expansion over the 7,363 units sold in June 2025.
Total sales for the Eicher brand specifically (inclusive of EVs) climbed 28.8% to touch 9,269 units during the month, up from 7,198 units in the previous June.
Domestic Market Performance
Total domestic dispatches for the Eicher brand advanced by 27.9% to 8,595 units in June 2026 compared to 6,722 units in June 2025.
Light and Medium Duty (LMD) Trucks: Serving as the key volume contributor, domestic sales of small and light-to-medium commercial trucks (less than 18.5 tonnes) surged by 37.9% to 4,366 units from 3,166 units last year.
Heavy Duty (HD) Trucks: Domestic heavy truck dispatches (equal to or greater than 18.5 tonnes) rose 21.6%, closing out the month at 2,139 units against 1,759 units in June 2025.
Bus Segments: Domestic LMD buses registered a 21.1% increase, moving up to 1,958 units from 1,617 units. Conversely, heavy-duty domestic buses saw volumes drop by 26.7% to settle at 132 units.
International Exports and Volvo Brand
Eicher Exports: Total outbound overseas shipments under the Eicher banner accelerated by 41.6% to 674 units compared to 476 units in June 2025. This was heavily driven by heavy-duty truck exports, which leaped 384.2% to 92 units, alongside a 72.6% increase in bus exports (202 units) and an 11.8% expansion in LMD truck exports (380 units).
Volvo Trucks & Buses: The premium Volvo commercial vehicle line recorded outstanding monthly momentum, with sales jumping 51.5% to 250 units in June 2026 from 165 units in the corresponding month last year.
Cumulative First-Quarter Operational Review (YTD)
The cumulative operational data for the first quarter (April to June) of FY 2026-27 signals sustained macro-segment adoption. Total consolidated VECV sales for the quarter climbed 14.8% to reach 24,815 units, pulling ahead of the 21,610 units logged during the corresponding period last fiscal.
Cumulative First-Quarter Segments
Eicher Domestic YTD: Total domestic Eicher brand sales for the quarter closed at 22,767 units, up 15.4% from 19,737 units. Within this, cumulative LMD trucks grew 24.2% to 11,366 units, while heavy trucks achieved a 15.2% lift to 5,275 units. Domestic LMD buses grew marginally by 5.4% to reach 5,820 units, while heavy buses dropped 36.4% to 306 units.
Eicher Exports YTD: Year-to-date global exports remained steady with a 1.0% increase, logging 1,450 units. Heavy-duty truck export volumes more than doubled during the quarter to 318 units.
Volvo YTD: Consolidated quarterly Volvo dispatches finished strongly at 598 units, registering an elegant 36.8% volume expansion over the 437 units managed by the same point in the previous fiscal year.
