Commercial vehicle manufacturer SML Mahindra Limited (formerly known as SML Isuzu Limited) has officially disclosed its sales performance for June 2026 and the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27.
June 2026 Performance Breakdown
During the month of June 2026, SML Mahindra recorded total sales of 1,930 units, marking a 3% growth compared to the 1,871 units sold during June 2025.
This overall growth was driven entirely by a strong performance in the Passenger Vehicles category. Sales for passenger vehicles surged by 13%, climbing to 1,575 units in June 2026 from 1,391 units in the corresponding month of the previous year. Conversely, the Cargo Vehicles segment experienced a temporary slowdown, dropping 26% with 355 units sold in June 2026 compared to 480 units in June 2025.
Cumulative First Quarter Trends (April - June)
The cumulative volume for the first quarter (April to June) of the financial year 2026-27 reflects a robust double-digit expansion for the company. Total sales for the three-month period reached 5,438 units, registering a 10% increase over the 4,926 units clocked during the same period last year.
Mirroring the monthly trend, the passenger transport segment remained the primary growth engine for the quarter. SML Mahindra sold 4,329 passenger vehicles between April and June 2026, achieving a substantial 19% growth over the 3,644 units sold in the April-June period of 2025-26. Meanwhile, cumulative cargo vehicle volumes for the quarter saw a 13% decline, settling at 1,109 units against the 1,282 units recorded in the previous year's first quarter.
