Escorts Construction Equipment Volumes grew by 252.3 percent in March 2021

Escorts Ltd. Construction Equipment Segment (ECE) in March 2021 sold 680 machines, our highest ever monthly sales and registering a growth of 252.3 percent against 193 machines sold in March 2020.

With continued Government thrust on infrastructure spending with an aim to achieve accelerated growth in GDP and massive Capex plan under NIP (National Infrastructure Pipeline), timely disbursal of project payments, major policy amendments for highway concessionaires and asset monetisation to ensure liquidity, we expect construction equipment demand will continue to be strong. However, some supply chain issues and rising inflation in commodity prices, continue to be worrying factors.

Shares of ESCORTS LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.1273 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1288.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 104075 in over 4618 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1320 and intraday low of 1262.85. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 133086354.
