Mumbai, March 24, 2008: After acquiring the sponsorship rights of the Kolkata Tigers, recently, the Gitanjali Group's association with the ICL just got firmer. In a dazzling event held in the city today, the effervescent Gitanjali Group unveiled the Diamond studded cricket ball specially designed by Tesoro. The same shall be presented to the 'Man of the Series' of the Edelweiss 20s Challenge. The enterprising Gitanjali Group has also designed a new collection, under its sturdy men's jewellery brand Revv by Desire; called "The Captain Collection". The same was unveiled in a nouveau fashion at the event.

ICL's all 8 team captains, namely Inzaman Ul Haq, (Captain–Lahore Badshahs), Chris Cairns (Captain-Chandigarh Lions), Craig McMillian (Captain-Kolkata Tigers), Nathan Astle (Captain-Mumbai Champs), Marvan Atapattu (Captain-Delhi Giants), Damien Martyn (Captain–Ahmedabad Rockets), Stuart Law (Captain–Chennai Superstars) & Chris Harris (Captain–Hyderabad Heroes) were also present for the occasion.

The diamond ball is created with a fine blend of 82.2 gram gold and 30 carats diamond. The value of this ball is approximately Rs. 30 Lacs. The diamond ball is made using the best quality diamond and the purest gold. Each diamond is studded with finesse, to make the end product look aesthetic adding glitter to the winner's glory.
