A Depression formed over eastcentral Arabian Sea in the early morning of 5th November. It moved west-southwestwards, intensified into a Deep Depression in the same noon and into a Cyclonic Storm 'Megh' in the same evening. It further intensified into a severe cyclonic storm in the afternoon of 7th, into a very severe cyclonic storm in the same night and further into an extremely severe cyclonic storm in the early morning of today, the 8th November. It lay centered at 0830 hours IST of today the 8th November 2015 over westcentral and adjoining southwest Arabian Sea near latitude 12.7°N and longitude 55.6°E, about 180 km east of Socotra Island (Yemen) and 510 km south-southeast of Salalah (Oman). It would move westwards passing close to Socotra Island around evening of 8th November 2015. It would then move west-northwestwards across Gulf of Aden and would cross Yemen coast between latitude 13.00 and 14.00 North around evening of 10th November as a cyclonic storm.
No adverse weather would occur along and off west coast of India due to this Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm 'Megh'.
