Italian Table Olive 'La Bella della Daunia - variety Bella di Cerignola DOP' launches in India

Chef Ritu Dalmia, Mr. Giuseppe Dibisceglia, Director of Consortium for the quality standard protection of Table Olive 'La Bella della Daunia - variety Bella di Cerignola DOP' and Ms. Alice Jaschke-Ferreri (Technical Expert for the Consortium) launched the table olive 'La Bella della Daunia - variety Bella di Cerignola DOP' at the Italian Cultural Centre in New Delhi.

The table olive 'La Bella della Daunia - variety Bella di Cerignola DOP' from Puglia (Italy) is renowned for its big dimension, fine taste, beauty and consistency of its flesh. Its uncooked use and its good keeping make these table olives a suitable element, in particular for many fast and digestive recipes as snack and aperitifs and for the enrichment of dishes, cooked or uncooked seasonings, and side dishes for meats and cheese.

Mr. Giuseppe Dibisceglia said, "We are very excited to launch this special variety of Table Olives in India. We hope to encourage the F&B Industry and consumers to actively use La Bella della Daunia - variety Bella di Cerignola DOP".

Chef Ritu Dalmia took the guests through a live cooking session where she put together various dishes using the special variety of Olives. Some of the dishes that guests tried during the interactive session were Crostini with Green Olive Pate, Crostini with Black olive Pate, Penne Putanesca and Aqua Pazza (fish).

The evening ended on a fabulous note with drinks and dinner where the guests savored an exquisite menu created especially for the occasion featuring delectable appetizers and main course using the table olive 'La Bella della Daunia - variety Bella di Cerignola DOP'.
