Delhi's favourite hotel The Suryaa kicked off its season of Christmas celebrations with a very special Cake Mixing Ceremony hosted by Mr.PankajMathur, General Manager.
The tradition of a cake mixing ceremony is considered to be a harbinger for good fortune and typically starts a few weeks before Christmas. This warm and happy ceremony was organised at Delhi's favourite hotel at their confectionary and bake shop - The French Crust.
The afternoon festivities started with an elaborate procedure of mixing al the nuts and ingredients, soaking them with juices & wines. A melee of chopped fruits, caps, gloves, aprons followed by the ritual of mixing the wine into the chopped fruit was performed with much enthusiasm and gaiety by all the executives, the guests and a few who joined in for the fun of it!
The cheerful event ended with a leisurely wind down with wine and cheese for the guests. In the spirit of the celebration Mr.Pankaj Mathur, General Manager said "The age old ceremony of cake mixing gives us a reason to get into the spirit of Christmas. This is the first step towards a year of good things and happiness. I wish all our guests all the very best for the coming year. With the mix we've produced today, I'm sure our cakes at The Suryaa are going to be perfect for the Christmas season!"
