The depression over north Tamil Nadu moved westwards and lay centred at 1730 hrs IST of 16th November 2013 near latitude 11.00N and longitude 79.00E, about 40 km north-northeast of Tiruchchirapalli. The system would move west-northwestwards and weaken gradually into a well marked low pressure area during next 24 hrs.
Under its influence, rainfall at most places with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places would occur over north Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during next 24 hours and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur during subsequent 24 hrs. Rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during next 48 hrs. Rainfall at many places with isolated heavy falls would occur over south Tamilnadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala during next 48 hrs.
Squally winds speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph would prevail along and off north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coast during next 12 hours.
