Satyam Computer Services Ltd on May 21, 2007 has announced that it has signed a multiyear, multi-disciplinary service agreement with Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC). The contract calls for the Company to provide high-end design, computer-aided engineering (CAE), analysis, product lifecycle management, and other services for the world's reading business, special mission, and trainer aircraft manufacturer. The arrangement will enable HBC to fulfill orders more quickly, and within appropriated budgets, while maintaining exacting quality standards.
Throughout the engagement, HBC will leverage the Company's world-class aerospace engineering competency and global delivery framework. The infusion of the Company experts will also provide HBC with greeter flexibility, and enable the organization to streamline its engineering operations and respond more quickly to business opportunities. To manage the project, the Company will establish an offshore development center with about 40 professionals dedicated to HBC projects. Within a year, that number will increase to 100 or so.
