Deep Depression over Bay of Bengal to bring more rains for Tamil Nadu

The deep depression over southwest Bay of Bengal moved west-southwestwards, and lay centred at 1130 IST of today, the 29thth October 2012 over southwest Bay of Bengal near latitude 9.00N and longitude 83.00E, about 550 km South-Southeast of Chennai (43279) and 200 km east-northeast of Trincomalee (43418). the system would intensify further into a cyclonic storm and move west-southwestwards for some more time and then move northwestwards and cross north Tamil Nadu and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nagapattinam and Nellore by 31stst October, 2012 evening/night.

Under the influence of this system, rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall would commence over coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from today onwards.

Squally winds speed reaching 45-55 kmph would commence along and off north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts from today i.e 29th October 2012 afternoon onwards. Sea condition will be very rough to high along and off north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts from that period. Fishermen along north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts, who are out at sea are advised to return to the coast.
