Patni Computer ties up with SP Jain Institute for course in Supply Chain Management

Patni Computer Systems Ltd has announced that S P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) and the Company on January 18, 2007 has announced a partnership to create specialized courses in the area of Supply Chain Management. As part of this Initiative, the Company will develop and deliver the content for courses including case studies and industry scenarios. The courses will become part of the curriculum for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (the one year MBA program) at the Institute.

Organizations are investing heavily into Supply Chain Management. As they seek to make the supply chain effective, the pace of innovation in methods and techniques is accelerating. Information Technology is playing a key role in this transformation, Supply Chain professionals therefore have a need to calibrate their understanding of the emerging models and technologies. Educational institutions are working closely with the industry to update their curricula with contemporary supply chain practices and tools.
