Cochin Minerals enters into agreement with Regional Research Laboratory, Trivandrum

Cochin Minerals & Rutiles Ltd has announced that the company has entered into an agreement with Regional Research Laboratory, Trivandrum, to adopt a modified version of their technology for production of Synthetic Rutile via the metallization process. The technology is being adopted as it is professed to be more environment friendly. The expected time required to start production under this process is 2 to 2.5 years, and estimated capex is about Rs 100 crores, to be financed by internal accruals, loan from technology development fund and institutional loans.
