MBL Infrastructure Wins Court Relief as Uttarakhand Court Upholds ₹82.77 Crore Arbitration Award

Infrastructure development company MBL Infrastructure Limited has received a major legal update regarding its ongoing arbitration proceedings. The Commercial Court in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, has dismissed both petitions filed by the Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Uttarakhand, under Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

The legal challenge was directed against an arbitration award dated December 14, 2024, which was originally ruled in favor of MBL Infrastructure Limited.

Project Title: 'Improvement and Strengthening of Roads in the District of Udham Singh Nagar (Package No. C-2)' in Uttarakhand.

Award Amount: The cumulative value of the arbitration award, including accrued interest, stands at ₹82.77 Crore as of July 27, 2026.

Ongoing Interest: The award carries a continuing interest rate of 12% per annum until the final date of payment to the company.

The Company is consistently aiming to resolve the disputes amicably, preserving long term relationships with the customers." said Mr. Anjanee Kumar Lakhotia, Chairman & Managing Director, while addressing Company officials.

Shares of MBL Infrastructures Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 24.74 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 25.19. The total number of shares traded during the day was 5240 in over 21 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 24.90 and intraday low of 24.56. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 129797.00.
