JD Cables Ltd conducts Ground Breaking Ceremony for new project

As we, JD Cables Limited ("the Company") has already announced the bagging of significant EPC infrastructure work order by Kaushal Engineering Limited (KEL) of ₹244 Crores for the execution of balance Civil and Electrical works under a Key National Highway Development Project in the State of Jharkhand, dated 23rd December, 2025.

The Company is pleased to inform that it has commenced the construction activities for the balance works of Chauparan Flyover, Barkatha Flyover, ROB and allied Electrical Works for the six-laning of the Bihar-Jharkhand Border (Chordaha to Gorhar Section) of NH-2, covering Km 249.525 to Km 320.810, in the State of Jharkhand, on EPC Mode under NHDP Phase-V.

The Ground Breaking Ceremony of the same was held on 05th January, 2025, which was graced by Mr. Piyush Garodia, Managing Director & Mr. Rajesh Jhunjhunwala, Whole-Time Director, who laid the foundation stone of the new venture at NH-2, Pandeybara Camp, Chauparan, Dist: Hazaribag in the State of Jharkhand.

This will significantly enhance JD Cables manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to serve utilities, infrastructure developers, EPC companies, and industrial consumers with a broader and more technologically advanced product range. This will add towards the larger order book, improved revenue visibility, and reinforced JD Cables capabilities in executing large and complex EPC infrastructure projects, particularly in the highways and transportation segment. The project is expected to meaningfully contribute to the Company's growth momentum during the execution period.

The total contract value is ₹2,43,99,19,353/- (Rupees Two Hundred Forty-Three Crore NinetyNine Lakh Nineteen Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty-Three Only), inclusive of applicable GST @18%, approved Change of Scope (COS), and price escalation. The contract value also includes all other applicable taxes, duties, labour cess and royalty on materials to be consumed for the said scope of work on a back-to-back basis as per the Main Contract. If in any case, there is a change in law by the Government of India or the Government of Jharkhand shall be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the main contract. The project is scheduled to be completed within one (1) year from the date of execution of the agreement.

Shares of JD Cables Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 236.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 221.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 150400 in over 163 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 239.75 and intraday low of 215.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 34921160.00.
