Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, India's fastestgrowing mid-scale and premium hotel chain, launched its latest managed property, Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari, on October 31, 2025. This launch marks another milestone in the brand's expansion across Eastern India and further reinforces its presence in Bihar, where it has one operational property.
Located in the historic city of Motihari in East Champaran district, the hotel offers guests an opportunity to experience the region's rich heritage and culture. Motihari holds immense historical significance as the birthplace of author George Orwell and as the starting point of Mahatma Gandhi's Champaran Satyagraha. The city also serves as a gateway to Nepal and is well-connected to major towns such as Patna and Darbhanga, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel features 50 well-appointed rooms and suites across various categories, designed for comfort and functionality. Of these 32 rooms, along with Citrus Café, the multi-cuisine restaurant and banquet spaces, including Tangerine Grand 1, Tangerine Grand 2, a Boardroom, as well as a spa, a fitness center and a swimming pool will open in the first phase.
The remaining 18 rooms, along with Kebab Theater, a modern Indian speciality restaurant serving authentic kebabs, tikkas, and regional delicacies as well as the remaining banquet, Tangerine, will open subsequently in the second phase.
