Cummins India Limited ("Cummins"), one of the leading technology providers of power solutions, in collaboration with its Genset Original Equipment Manufacturer (GOEM), Sudhir Power Limited, recently concluded a successful mega roadshow in Rajasthan. The roadshow aimed to showcase the innovative capabilities and features of Cummins-powered CPCBIV+ compliant gensets. Mr. Manoj Nair, Power Generation Business Leader, Cummins, along with the teams from Cummins and Sudhir Power Ltd. flagged off the roadshow in Gurugram, Haryana.
During the 30+ days of the roadshow - a truck with a state-of-the-art CPCBIV+ genset traveled through 18 districts in Rajasthan, covering over 2,000+ kilometers. It covered key industrial hubs such as Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur, and Bhilwara districts, as well as prominent educational centers such as Jaipur, Kota, and Sikar. Additionally, it also traversed through key tourist destinations and wedding venues including Jodhpur and Chittorgarh among others.
Throughout the roadshow, both companies actively engaged with audiences through a series of interactive seminars. These seminars demonstrated advanced after-treatment systems, integrated control modules, and next-gen monitoring features, highlighting the reduced emissions, better fuel efficiency, and improved load-taking capabilities of these gensets.
Emphasizing the company's commitment to Rajasthan, Mr. Manoj Nair, Power Generation Business Leader, Cummins, said, "Over the past few years, Rajasthan has experienced robust growth across the industrial, educational, hospitality, and tourism sectors, and Cummins has been closely associated with the progress of this vast state. Cummins introduced its CPCBIV+ emission-compliant genset engines, ranging up to 800 kWm, on July 5, 2023. These standards represent some of the most comprehensive and stringent norms for gensets, resulting in a remarkable 90% reduction in particulate matter (PM) and harmful oxides of nitrogen (NOx) concentration compared to CPCBII norms. Moreover, these updated standards apply to both prime and standby gensets, encompassing all fuel types with a power output of up to 800 kWm.
