SBI Life Insurance Company Limited appoints Mr. Shobinder Duggal as an additional director

The Board of Directors of SBI Life Insurance Company Limited at its meeting held on December 28, 2020 has approved the appointment of Mr. Shobinder Duggal (DIN: 00039580) as an Additional Director in the category of Independent director of the Company with effect from December 28, 2020 and to hold office upto date of ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM). He shall hold office as an Independent Director for a term of three years, not liable to retire by rotation, subject to approval of the shareholders at AGM.

Mr. Shobinder Duggal has 36 years of work experience with Nestle including Voltas India Limited. He was CFO of South Asia Region for Nestle from May 2004 to February 2020 and has also handled procurement and IT / IS responsibilities. Further he was Executive Director and CFO in Nestle India Limited and Board member in Nestle Lanka PLC.

He was responsible for overseeing Financials of India entity & South Asia Region and was reporting to Chairman, Managing Director & Group Management. He also worked for Group companies of Nestle since 1986.

Mr. Duggal is graduate from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Shares of SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.901.5 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 873.8. The total number of shares traded during the day was 125168 in over 4895 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 905 and intraday low of 878.3. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 112365604.
