SEBI fines Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and its promoters

SEBI has passed an Adjudication Order dated September 23,2019 bearing no. Order/MCIVS/2019-20/4550-4556 against Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Mr. P.V. Ramprasad Reddy, Mrs. P Suneela Rani, Mr. Kambam Prasad Reddy and Trident Chemphar Limited, promoters of the Company whereby SEBI has imposed a penalty of INR 13.10 crore against the aforesaid promoters and INR 2 crore against the Company.

The Company and the promoters are obtaining legal advice and will proceed accordingly.

Shares of AUROBINDO PHARMA LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.618.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 613.8. The total number of shares traded during the day was 155134 in over 3256 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 620.9 and intraday low of 589.5. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 94337845.
