Tata Steel appoints additional directors on Corus Group Plc Board

Tata Steel Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 17, 2007, has appointed following Corus Group Plc, UK directors on the Board of the Company, as additional directors:

1. Mr. Jim Leng as a Non Executive Independent Director designated as Deputy Chairman.

2. Mr. Philippe Varin as a Non Executive Director.

3. Mr. Jacques Schraven as a Non Executive Independent Director.

4. Dr. Anthony Hayward as a Non Executive Independent Director.

The induction of the above mentioned four Corus' directors on the Board of the Company will bring in a rich and varied experience that would enable it to manage the business of the enlarged size and complexity.
