Fire in Titagarh Wagons Ltd's Factory at Titagarh, Kolkata

On September 16, 2012 a major fire broke out in the premises used for storage of stock of some materials in Titagarh Wagons Ltd's factory at Titagarh, Barrackpur, Kolkata and as a consequence the paint stored there was burnt and the building accommodating the same gutted. The assessment of damage suffered due to the said accident is under process in accordance with the applicable conditions of relative insurance policies.

No person was hurt and fire has been doused during the day and it has not disrupted operations of the Company. There has been no material adverse impact on the environment.

The Company has the requisite safety measures at the plant in place.

The Titagarh Wagons Ltd stock closed the day at Rs.309.25, up by Rs.4.40 or 1.44%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.311.40 and low of Rs.305.05.

The total traded quantity was 9833 compared to 2 week average of 3909.
