Sterlite Optical announces Q3 results, net profit at Rs.12.87 Crores

Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended December 31, 2006:

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 128.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 151.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Total Income (net of excise) is Rs 2770.20 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 2075.30 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

The Company has acquired "Power Transmission Line"(PTL) Business from Sterlite Industries India Ltd (SIIL) on going concern basis w.e.f. July 01, 2006. Hence figures for current period/s are not comparable to figures for the previous period/s.
