Madras Aluminium awarded Finalist Award of Excellence in Corporate Governance

Madras Aluminium Company Ltd has announced about the following:

The Company was awarded the "Finalist Award of Excellence in Corporate Governance", instituted by the Institute of Directors & World Council for Corporate Governance. The Company has also received the CII Award for Excellence in Water Management."

The Company also won the prestigious Golden Peacock Innovation Award-2006 in sequel to TERI award in June-06 and also the First prize in State for Industrial Safety.

The Company is subsidiary of Vedanta Resources Plc., the London listed and FTSE 100 international metals & mining major with interest in Aluminium, Copper, Silver, Zinc, Lead & Gold having operations in India, Australia Africa and Armenia.
