Shriram AMC announces Refreshed Fund Opportunity for three hybrid funds

Shriram Asset Management Company Limited (Shriram AMC), a part of Shriram Group, announced the Refreshed Fund Opportunity (RFO) for its three hybrid funds, introducing a refreshed investment strategy and investment framework across the schemes. The Partner Opportunity Offer Period is open from July 15, 2026, to August 7, 2026 to our Mutual Fund Distributers.

In an uncertain market environment, predicting which asset class will outperform has become challenging. Equity, debt, gold and silver have historically delivered varying levels of risk and return across market cycles. Since these asset classes are driven by different factors and exhibit relatively low correlation, combining them within a single portfolio can help reduce overall portfolio volatility while offering the potential for reasonable long-term returns.

This is where hybrid funds can play an important role. Depending on their investment objective and asset allocation strategy, they invest across multiple asset classes, which may help diversify the portfolio across different market conditions.

Recognising these investor needs, Shriram AMC has refreshed the investment framework across its hybrid fund range to provide a more disciplined, research-driven and diversified investment approach, which is in accordance with the strategy as mentioned in the Scheme Information Document of respective schemes.

The Refreshed Fund Opportunity covers the Shriram Multi Asset Allocation Fund, the Shriram Aggressive Hybrid Fund and the Shriram Balanced Advantage Fund. Built around asset allocation, the refreshed framework combines equity, debt and exposure to precious metals such as gold and silver, enabling the fund manager to dynamically manage allocations across market conditions. The objective is to help investors participate in long-term wealth creation while seeking to manage portfolio risk across market cycles.

The refreshed framework incorporates a structured asset allocation process, an equity selection methodology based on GARP (Growth at a Reasonable Price) principles, a research-led fixed income framework and exposure to precious metals such as gold and silver. The objective is to create a repeatable investment process aligned with the fund's investment objective and designed to respond to changing market conditions.

The Shriram Balanced Advantage Fund is designed for investors seeking a dynamic allocation between equity and debt that adapts to market conditions. The Shriram Aggressive Hybrid Fund is suitable for investors looking for higher equity participation with the potential for long-term capital appreciation, while the Shriram Multi Asset Allocation Fund offers diversified exposure across equity, debt and Gold & Silver ETFs through a single investment solution. The funds may be suited for investors pursuing longterm goals such as retirement, children's education, home ownership and long-term wealth creation, where future market conditions cannot be predicted.

Commenting on the announcement, Kartik Jain, Managing Director & CEO, Shriram Asset Management Company Limited, said: The refresh reflects our belief that asset allocation, rather than market timing, will remain the primary driver of long-term investor outcomes. In markets like these, investors tend to predict which asset class will outperform next. The reality is that no asset class consistently stays on top. Equities, debt and precious metals each go through phases of outperformance and underperformance because they respond to different economic conditions. That's why we believe a well-diversified portfolio across asset classes may help investors navigate uncertainty better than relying on any single asset class."

Elaborating on the investment approach, Prateek Nigudkar, Senior Fund Manager, who manages the Hybrids funds at Shriram AMC said, "Over the past year, we've strengthened our approach to asset allocation by combining a disciplined, research-driven investment process with active portfolio management. Our endeavour is to take the complexity of asset allocation away from investors, so they can stay focused on their long-term financial goals."

The Shriram Multi Asset Allocation Fund is an open-ended scheme investing in equity, debt and money market securities, Gold and Silver ETFs and related instruments. The Shriram Aggressive Hybrid Fund is an open-ended hybrid scheme investing predominantly in equity and equity-related instruments, while the Shriram Balanced Advantage Fund is an open-ended dynamic asset allocation fund.
