Financial Technologies India Ltd has announced that Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) elected National Bulk Handling Corporation Ltd (NBHC), a subsidiary of the Company, as its Category-G member. NBHC is the first warehousing and commodity management solution provider in India to get GAFTA membership. Association membership is awarded on strict criterion pertaining to operational standards and this selection came as recognition for NBHC’s operational standards.
This membership will help NBHC ProComm laboratories to go under Proficiency Testing Programme and get GAFTA accreditation. Association accredited laboratory can play important role in impartial arbitration for settling of any international trade disputes. This program and accreditation ensures commodity testing laboratories calibration to international standards.
And with this membership NBHC will be linked with over 1000 association members from 90 countries around the world. GAFTA will provide various services to NBHC like regular trade Policy information and comprehensive training & professional development program for its employees. Through this NBHC will gain necessary updated know-how to add value in commodities ecosystem.
GAFTA is an Association of international grain and feed trading Companies. Since 1878 it has been promoting and protecting international trade of grain, feedstuffs, pulses and rice. Association members are involved in trading, surveying, analysing and arbitration business, building standards in grain and feed trade ecosystem. Association is involved in framing international trade standards and providing dispute resolution services - Arbitration & Mediation and training.
