ABG Shipyard secures another repeat order from GACL

ABG Shipyard Ltd has announced that the Company has secured a repeat order, from Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd (GACL) for construction of 1 No. Self Loading & Unloading vessel of 4000 DWT Bulk Cements Carrier at a price of USD 9.90 Mio. Approximately.

GACL, currently owns 7 vessels, all built by the Company in the past. This will be 8th vessel built for GACL.

The Company has promoted short sea trade in India by delivering to some of the leading costal plant owners. Globally, it has delivered to Lys Line, Oslo, Norway and is currently building two vessels for ESL, Finland valued at around Rs 270.0 Crores.

General information of the project is as under:

1. Order for Construction of 1 No Self Loading & Unloading 4,000 DWT Bulk Cement Carrier.

2. Value of the Vessel — Approximately, USD 9.90 Mio.

3. Length of the Vessel - 97 Mtrs.

4. Delivery Period — By June 30, 2008

With the above order in terms of INR approximately Rs 45 Crores for one confirmed vessel, the aggregate of the orders in hand with the Company will amount to about Rs 24,450 million approximately.
