Maruti Udyog Sales up 23.7% in December 2006

Maruti Udyog Ltd has announced that the Company sold 54,640 vehicles in the domestic market in December 2006.

The Company had sold 43,251 vehicles in the domestic market in December 2005.

In all, the Company sold 56,985 vehicles in December 2006. This includes 2,345 units of exports.

The Company's volume in the domestic A2 segment went up by 35.6 per cent and in C segment grew by 40.6 per cent during the month compared to sales in December 2005.
