Sesa Goa Updates on Scheme of Amalgamation

Sesa Goa Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on December 22, 2006 has extended the validity of the Scheme of Amalgamation to March 31, 2007 as the same expires on December 31, 2006. The Transferor Company, i.e. Sesa Industries Ltd, and Transferee Company, i.e. the Company, have agreed for such extension in terms of Clause 27 of the Scheme of Amalgamation.
