KIC Metaliks plant shutdown for modernisation and integration work

KIC Metaliks Ltd has announced that the Company's Mini Blast Furnace at Durgapur has been shut down since December 10, 2006 for modernisation and integration of Hot Blast Stove (HBS) Project at a cost of Rs 17.00 crores. The Plant is expected to be shut down for 20 days and there will be direct impact in the top line and bottom line in the 3rd quarter financial results to the extent of production loss during the shut down period. The commissioning would result in substantial increase of production and profitability from 4th quarter onwards.
