Dollex Industries Produces First Batch of Sugar at Godavari Manar Sugar Mills

Dollex Industries Ltd has announced that the Company has successfully kicked off its first production line at Godavari Manar Sugar Mills by producing its first batch of White Sugar. The Company had acquired the coveted co-operative sugar factory on a 6 year's lease, starting from the sugar season of 2006-O7.

The Company had invested over Rs 15 million in overhauling the unit and making it operational in time for this year's sugar season. Commercial production at the Company's sugar mill began in the first week of December.

This marks a new era in the Company's history and the Company estimates all its production will be in-line with the Company's targets. It will also help more than double the Company's production of Ethanol. Earlier, the Company procured its raw material from external sugar manufacturers in order to produce Ethanol, however now the Company will use the produce at Godavari Manar and hence have a huge pricing edge over its competitors as well as double its Ethanol capacity.

This development is part of the Company's ambitious three years plan of becoming an integrated Sugar, Alcohol & Ethanol manufacturer.
