Indo Borax & Chemicals Posts Stellar Q1 FY27 Results with PAT Surging 59% to ₹16.25 Crore

Indo Borax and Chemicals Ltd (BSE: 524342; NSE: INDOBORAX), one of India's premier manufacturers of boron-based chemicals, delivered a standout financial performance for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. Catalyzed by strong market demand and notable operational efficiencies, the company recorded a 59.31 per cent year-on-year surge in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹16.25 crore compared to ₹10.20 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Robust Top-Line Growth and Sequential Momentum

During the quarter under review, Indo Borax's consolidated operating income expanded by 31.34 per cent year-on-year to ₹70.36 crore, up from ₹53.57 crore in Q1 FY26. On a sequential basis, revenue grew by 11.66 per cent over the ₹63.01 crore posted in Q4 FY26, highlighting sustained quarter-on-quarter momentum following a total operating income of ₹215.45 crore recorded for the full fiscal year FY26.

Earnings per share (EPS) mirrored the bottom-line growth, surging 59.43 per cent year-on-year to ₹5.07 per share in Q1 FY27, up from ₹3.18 in Q1 FY26 and ₹4.53 in Q4 FY26.

Operational Efficiency Drives Margin Expansion

Operating profitability experienced a substantial boost during the quarter. Consolidated EBITDA climbed to ₹19.80 crore, representing a 62.16 per cent increase over the ₹12.21 crore reported in Q1 FY26, and a 54.45 per cent sequential growth compared to ₹12.82 crore in Q4 FY26. For context, the full-year EBITDA for FY26 stood at ₹44.16 crore.

This surge in operating earnings led to significant margin expansion across both EBITDA and PAT levels:

EBITDA Margin: Expanded by 530 basis points year-on-year to reach 28.1 per cent in Q1 FY27, compared to 22.8 per cent in Q1 FY26 and 20.4 per cent in Q4 FY26 (full-year FY26 average stood at 20.5 per cent).

PAT Margin: Increased by 430 basis points year-on-year to 22.3 per cent in Q1 FY27, up from 18.0 per cent in Q1 FY26 and 21.5 per cent in Q4 FY26 (full-year FY26 average stood at 21.8 per cent).

The Q1 FY27 financial performance underscores Indo Borax's ability to capitalize on favorable demand dynamics while translating operational efficiencies directly into top-line and bottom-line expansion.

Commenting on the company's performance during the quarter, Mr. Suresh Katra, Managing Director & CEO, Indo Borax, said, "The boron-based chemicals market in India has been witnessing a robust demand across a diverse range of applications including steel, glass, ceramics, agriculture, electronics and detergents among others. With our advanced manufacturing capabilities, we are well-positioned to meet demand. Our capacity utilisation has been extremely robust, and improved operational efficiency has strengthened our bottom line. We expect to sustain this growth momentum moving forward."

The company has received approval from its Board for the amalgamation of its wholly owned subsidiary, Indoborax Infrastructure Private Ltd, with Indo Borax Chemicals. This will be subject to necessary approvals from NCLT and other regulatory authorities.

"The proposed amalgamation will help create greater efficiency due to pooling and more effective utilisation of the combined resources and will also create concentrated management focus besides streamlining governance and facilitating faster decision making," Mr. Katra said.
