Allied Blenders and Distillers Reports Q1 FY27 Results: Operational Revenue Reaches ₹984 Crore Amid Premiumisation Drive

Indian spirits manufacturer Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABD) (CIN: L15511MH2008PLC187368) has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). Driven by strong traction in its Prestige & Above (P&A) portfolio and market expansion, the company posted a consolidated Income from Operations (net of excise duty) of ₹984 crore (Gross Operational Revenue of ₹1,809.15 crore), up 5.8% year-on-year.

Consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter stood at ₹45.42 crore (₹45 crore in simplified figures), compared to ₹55.83 crore in Q1 FY26. The bottom-line performance was impacted by planned growth investments under its luxury division, ABD Maestro, alongside approximately ₹24 crore in global supply chain disruptions. On a Like-to-Like (LTL) basis excluding supply chain impacts, consolidated PAT reached ₹63 crore (up 13.6% YoY) with an LTL EBITDA of ₹144 crore (up 21.4% YoY).

Consolidated Financial Highlights

Gross Revenue from Operations: Stood at ₹1,809.15 crore (₹180,915.26 lakh), up 1.8% YoY from ₹1,776.37 crore in Q1 FY26.

Excise Duty: Deducted at ₹830.22 crore (₹83,021.68 lakh), compared to ₹853.51 crore in Q1 FY26.

Income from Operations (Net of Excise): Reached ₹984 crore, up 5.8% YoY against ₹930 crore in Q1 FY26.

Total Income: Combined total income (including other income of ₹4.64 crore) stood at ₹1,813.79 crore.

Consolidated EBITDA: Came in at ₹120 crore (₹120.11 crore), delivering an EBITDA margin of 12.2%. EBITDA growth was moderated by strategic A&P spends and distribution expansion under ABD Maestro.

Profit Before Tax (PBT): Closed at ₹67.84 crore (₹6,784.22 lakh), compared to ₹75.64 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹102.56 crore in Q4 FY26.

Tax Provision: Total tax expenses stood at ₹22.42 crore (comprising current tax of ₹24.80 crore and deferred tax credit of ₹2.38 crore).

Consolidated PAT: Stood at ₹45.42 crore (₹4,542.05 lakh). PAT attributable to owners of the holding company was ₹49.22 crore, offset by a non-controlling interest loss of ₹3.80 crore.

Earnings Per Share (EPS): Basic and diluted EPS stood at ₹1.76 per share (face value ₹2/- each).

Standalone Financial Highlights

Income from Operations (Net of Excise): Reached ₹975 crore, up 5.3% YoY from ₹926 crore in Q1 FY26.

Standalone EBITDA: Expanded 14.4% YoY to ₹140 crore (up from ₹122 crore in Q1 FY26), expanding EBITDA margin by 113 bps to 14.3%.

Standalone PAT: Rose 11.9% YoY to ₹68 crore, compared to ₹61 crore in Q1 FY26.

Operational & Portfolio Highlights

1. Prestige & Above (P&A) Portfolio Expansion

Volume Growth: Total sales volume reached 9.0 million cases in Q1 FY27 (up 6.2% YoY from 8.5 million cases). The P&A segment grew 10.7% YoY, while Mass Premium & Others grew 2.3% YoY.

Portfolio Salience: P&A volume contribution expanded to 48.2% (vs. 46.2% in Q1 FY26), while value contribution reached 59.3% (vs. 55.8% in Q1 FY26).

ICONiQ White Performance: ABD's flagship Millionaire Whisky brand achieved 3.1 million cases in Q1 FY27 (averaging over 1 million cases per month), representing a 33.8% YoY growth over 2.3 million cases in Q1 FY26.

2. Super-Premium & Luxury Developments (ABD Maestro)

Zoya Pink Launch: Introduced in April 2026 as a vibrant extension of the super-premium Zoya gin range. Launched initially in Maharashtra, with phased rollouts planned across major Indian markets.

International Portfolio Expansion: ABD Maestro's portfolio (including Arthaus Blended Malt Whisky, Zoya Gin, Woodburns Whisky, Rangeela Vodka, AODH Irish Whiskey, and Yello Designer Whisky) expanded into markets including Canada, Ivory Coast, New Zealand, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and the UAE.

3. Global Footprint & Awards

Global Presence: ABD expanded its global reach to 39 countries in Q1 FY27, up from 36 countries in Q4 FY26. ICONiQ White is now available in 10 international markets.

Recognitions:

ABD Maestro Private Limited was named 'Distiller of the Year' at the 15th Icons of Whisky India Awards 2026, while ARTHAUS won "Campaign Innovator of the Year".

Rangeela won "Best Use of Social Media" at the IMAGEXX 2026 Summit Awards.

ABD's integrated manufacturing plant at Rangapur, Telangana, received the Best Factory/Management Award from the Government of Telangana.

Capital Structure

As of June 30, 2026, ABD's paid-up equity share capital stood at ₹5,594.20 lakh (comprising equity shares of face value ₹2/- each). Other equity as per the previous audited balance sheet stood at ₹1,60,672.46 lakh (₹1,606.72 crore).

Shares of Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 602.50 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 616.30. The total number of shares traded during the day was 19236 in over 1114 trades.
