Diagnostic and healthcare service provider Thyrocare Technologies Limited today announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Driven by robust growth in its core diagnostic testing segment, the company delivered a 34% year-on-year increase in net profit alongside double-digit top-line growth.
Revenue Growth Driven by Core Diagnostic Services
Thyrocare reported total revenue of ₹244.17 crore for Q1 FY27, marking a 23.5% increase compared to ₹197.68 crore in Q1 FY26. On a sequential basis, total revenue rose 7.0% from ₹228.26 crore recorded in the preceding quarter ended March 31, 2026.
Revenue from Operations: Reached ₹240.02 crore, up 24.3% year-on-year from ₹193.03 crore in Q1 FY26 and 7.2% quarter-on-quarter from ₹223.95 crore.
Other Income: Came in at ₹4.15 crore, compared to ₹4.65 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹4.31 crore in Q4 FY26.
Segment Performance
Diagnostic Testing Services: The core driver generated ₹226.21 crore in revenue (up 26.8% YoY from ₹178.33 crore), accounting for nearly 94% of operational revenues. Segment profit before tax for diagnostic testing expanded to ₹61.90 crore, up 38.0% from ₹44.85 crore in Q1 FY26.
Imaging Services: Generated ₹13.48 crore in revenue compared to ₹14.04 crore in Q1 FY26. The segment recorded a profit before tax of ₹1.26 crore, turning around from a loss of ₹0.30 crore in Q4 FY26.
Others: Contributed ₹0.33 crore in revenue for the quarter.
Cost Structure and Margin Expansion
Total consolidated expenses for the quarter stood at ₹176.59 crore, up 19.8% year-on-year from ₹147.45 crore in Q1 FY26, remaining well below the operational revenue growth rate and enabling margin expansion.
Cost of Materials Consumed: Rose to ₹61.88 crore, compared to ₹55.41 crore in Q1 FY26.
Employee Benefits Expense: Stood at ₹39.61 crore, up from ₹33.00 crore in the year-ago period.
Other Expenses: Totaled ₹60.98 crore, against ₹46.63 crore in Q1 FY26.
Depreciation & Amortization: Came in at ₹12.49 crore, compared to ₹11.41 crore in Q1 FY26.
Finance Costs: Stood at ₹1.35 crore.
Profit before tax (PBT) reached ₹68.29 crore (including a ₹0.71 crore share of profit from associate entities), reflecting a 35.3% expansion over ₹50.48 crore reported in Q1 FY26.
Bottom-Line and Earnings Per Share
Tax expense for the quarter was ₹16.69 crore, compared to ₹12.19 crore in Q1 FY26.
Net Profit: Consolidated net profit for Q1 FY27 surged 34.1% year-on-year to ₹51.33 crore, up from ₹38.29 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹48.70 crore in Q4 FY26.
Profit Attributable to Owners: Stood at ₹52.19 crore, while non-controlling interest accounted for a loss of ₹0.86 crore.
Total Comprehensive Income: Totaled ₹51.72 crore for the quarter, compared to ₹38.06 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Basic & Diluted EPS: Basic Earnings Per Share for the quarter expanded to ₹3.23 (face value of ₹10 per share), up from ₹2.41 in Q1 FY26 and ₹2.99 in Q4 FY26. Diluted EPS stood at ₹3.22.
India's largest diagnostic test volume processor further strengthened its volume leadership position during the quarter, processing 55.2 million tests up 28% year-on-year. The Pathology business maintained strong traction with franchise revenue up 27% and partnership revenue up 26% year-on-year.
Thyrocare's unwavering commitment to quality delivered Six Sigma excellence by reducing complaints to 3.1 per million (down 24% YoY) with ATAT at 3.37 hours from sample receipt, positioning the company as India's first diagnostic chain to attain this benchmark.
