Gopal Snacks Limited, (the "Company") (BSE: 544140; NSE: GOPAL) a leading FMCG company in India renowned for its high-quality snack products, has re-commenced its manufacturing facility at Rajkot Main Plant.
The Rajkot facility, which was impacted by a fire incident in December 2024, had remained nonoperational thereafter. Company has now completed the reinstatement of its manufacturing facility and resumed operations after obtaining the necessary approvals from the relevant government authorities.
The reinstatement of the Corporate Office and other support facility buildings which were affected by fire are currently in progress. However, this will not have any impact on the Company's operational requirements at Rajkot.
As part of this transition, the Company will discontinue operations at Gondal facility and consolidate production at Rajkot facility, thereby streamlining its manufacturing footprint. The commissioning of this plant will lead to improvement in profitability through lower power cost as compared to Gondal facility as the plant will be operating on boiler-based system. In addition, the Company anticipates reduced transportation costs due to improved proximity to dealers in the Saurashtra region, as well as lower labour and other manufacturing-related costs owing to the facility's location near other ancillary plants.
The Rajkot facility will operate with an installed capacity of 1,05,233 MTPA and will manufacture a diversified product portfolio, including Gathiya, Namkeen, Snack Pellets and Extruded Snacks. Other Ancillary plants, such as Papad, Spices and Besan, were not impacted by fire incident and have continued to operate normally. This development aligns with the Company's commitment to scaling its operations to meet growing consumer demand.
