SML Mahindra Reports 15% Growth in Sales for April 2026

SML Mahindra Limited (formerly known as SML Isuzu Limited) has officially released its sales performance data for the opening month of the 2026-27 financial year. According to a regulatory filing submitted to the BSE and National Stock Exchange of India, the commercial vehicle manufacturer recorded a 15% year-on-year increase in total sales volume.

The company, headquartered in SAS Nagar (Mohali), reported total sales of 1,741 units in April 2026, compared to 1,512 units sold during the same month in the previous year. This upward trajectory was supported by growth across both its cargo and passenger vehicle segments.

Segment Performance Highlights

Passenger Vehicles: This segment emerged as the primary growth driver for the month. SML Mahindra sold 1,331 passenger vehicles in April 2026, representing a robust 19% increase over the 1,123 units sold in April 2025.

Cargo Vehicles: The cargo segment also maintained a positive momentum, with sales rising to 410 units. This reflects a 5% growth compared to the 389 units recorded in the corresponding period last year.

As a prominent player in the Indian trucks and buses market, SML Mahindra continues to operate its primary manufacturing works out of Village Asron in the Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar district of Punjab. These latest figures suggest a steady start to the new fiscal year for the Punjab-based automaker.

Shares of SML Mahindra Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 3721.95 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 3788.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3528 in over 573 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 3824.95 and intraday low of 3705.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 13208206.00.
