Jet Airways Asset Sale: Auction Outcome for Boeing 777 Aircraft

Jet Airways (India) Limited (Under Liquidation) has officially announced the outcome of the e-auction for its aircraft assets. In a regulatory filing dated April 8, 2026, the Liquidator, Mr. Satish Kumar Gupta, confirmed the successful sale of two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft parked in Delhi.

The auction was conducted via the BAANKNET (formerly eBKray) platform in accordance with the IBBI (Liquidation Process) Regulations, 2016, following consultation with the Stakeholders' Consultation Committee.

Auction Performance and High Bids

The e-auction saw aggressive participation for the long-haul aircraft. The first asset, a Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35157 / VT-JET), carried a reserve price of ₹171.80 crore but fetched a significantly higher bid of ₹309.25 crore from Ace Aviation XIV Limited.

The second asset, another Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35160 / VT-JEU), had a reserve price of ₹184.95 crore. This aircraft secured a winning bid of ₹258.93 crore from Ace Aviation XV Limited.

Strategic Impact and Financial Recovery

The total realization from the sale of these two wide-body aircraft amounts to ₹568.18 crore. This represents a substantial premium of approximately 60% over the combined reserve price of ₹356.75 crore.

This successful auction marks a major step forward in the liquidation proceedings of the former carrier. By offloading these high-maintenance assets at a price well above the floor, the liquidator has secured a meaningful recovery for the creditors and stakeholders involved in the process. The successful bidders, under the Ace Aviation umbrella, have previously shown consistent interest in acquiring the Jet Airways long-haul fleet.
