Punjab National Bank Reports Strong FY26 Performance: Global Business Crosses ₹29 Trillion

Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India's leading public sector lenders, has released its provisional operational update for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. The bank demonstrated consistent double-digit growth across its core business segments, significantly expanding its market footprint.

The bank's Global Business reached a major milestone of ₹29.73 trillion, representing a robust 10.79% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth. This expansion was driven by healthy momentum in both domestic and international operations throughout the 2025-26 fiscal year.

Key Financial Highlights

Credit Growth: Global Advances witnessed the highest growth among key parameters, surging 12.97% YoY to reach ₹12.61 trillion. Domestic advances also showed strong momentum, increasing by 12.17% to reach ₹11.96 trillion.

Deposit Base: Total Global Deposits grew by 9.25% YoY, ending the year at ₹17.11 trillion. Domestic deposits contributed significantly to this base, rising to ₹16.49 trillion.

Sequential Progress: On a Quarter-on-Quarter (QoQ) basis, the bank maintained steady growth, with Global Business increasing by 2.82% from the December 2025 quarter.

Credit-to-Deposit (CD) Ratio: The bank's CD ratio stood at 73.70% as of March 31, 2026, reflecting a balanced approach to lending and liquidity management.
