Lloyds Metals & Energy Commences Commercial Production of Copper Cathodes from 12,000 TPA Plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited ("LMEL") through its subsidiary, has commenced commercial production of copper cathodes from its 12,000 tonnes p.a. copper processing plant located in the Katanga Copper Belt in the Democratic Republic of Congo ("DRC").

The milestone marks the Company's strategic entry into the global copper value chain, positioning Lloyds Metals to participate in the rapidly expanding demand for copper driven by electrification, renewable energy infrastructure and electric mobility.

The first copper cathodes have now been successfully produced at the facility, confirming operational readiness of the plant and marking the beginning of commercial operations.

LMEL holds a 50% interest in an operating copper mining and processing platform in the DRC, which includes:

- 16 mining licences covering approximately 100 sq. km in the Katanga Copper Belt
- A 12,000 tonnes per annum SX-EW copper cathode plant, now operational
- High-grade oxide copper ore deposits enabling efficient SX-EW processing
- The project combines ready infrastructure, high-grade resources and operational expertise, allowing for disciplined scale-up of production.

Production Ramp-Up Outlook

The company expects the facility to progressively ramp up production as mining and ore supply stabilise.

Estimated production outlook:

- CY2026: ~10,000-12000 tonnes of copper cathodes
- CY2027: ~15,000 tonnes of copper cathodes

Over the medium term, the platform has a clear expansion pathway to scale capacity towards 30,000 tonnes per annum, supported by increasing captive ore supply from the mining licences making us one of the only Indian integrated copper companies.

The commencement of copper cathode production represents a key milestone in Lloyds Metals & Energy's strategy to diversify its metals portfolio and build a scalable presence in critical minerals. With established mining licenses, ready processing infrastructure and a clear expansion roadmap, the DRC platform positions the company to participate in the long-term growth in global copper demand.
